
CCHL awards Fellowships to Dr. Michelle Acorn, Dr. Jaason Geerts, and Dr. Alice Kam
On behalf of the Canadian College of Health Leaders and its Board of Directors, we would like to congratulate Dr. Michelle Acorn, FCCHL, Dr. Jaason Geerts, FCCHL and Dr. Alice Kam, FCCHL on attaining Fellowship status in the College.



Fellowship is the highest professional designation awarded by the College and is designed for experienced leaders who have gained a wide breadth of knowledge and experience at various leadership levels in the Canadian health system over their career.
Dr. Michelle Acorn, Chief Executive Officer, Nurse Practitioners Association of Ontario, is a nurse practitioner and healthcare leader with more than 35 years of experience in clinical practice, health systems, and executive leadership. She is internationally recognized for advancing nurse practitioner practice, health equity, and innovative models of care in Canada and globally.
Dr. Jaason Geerts is Vice-President of Research and Leadership Development at the Canadian College of Health Leaders. In addition to Dr. Geerts’ role at the CCHL, he is an Associate at the Cambridge Judge Business School and an internationally recognized expert in leadership and health system transformation, advising organizations worldwide.
Dr. Alice Kam is an Assistant Professor at the Division of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Toronto. She is also an Affiliate Scientist at the University Health Network (UHN) – KITE Research Institute and a Scholar at The Wilson Centre. Dr. Kam’s work focuses on advancing compassionate, equitable health professions education through AI - enabled integrated design and collaborative, co-design approaches. She is an executive member of the CCHL GTA Chapter.
